Foaming Facial Sugar Scrub

We recently relocated to MA, we will be here about 6 months before our next move. Of course I get to move to New England at the start of winter to enjoy the dry air and watch it reek havoc on my skin! Late last night I was almost tempted to buy an expensive facial brush to scrub my dry skin away. Then I snapped back into reality and decided I could make a scrub that would be oh so much better, much cheaper and I would be able to use it tomorrow! Best thing is, it’s not going to dry my skin out! Honestly every face scrub I have ever bought just dried my face so then it just added to the problem. But not with mine! Sweet!

I had all the ingredients already so I got up this morning and after the kids were off to school I whipped some up, it came out so nice I decided to make some to share as well!

What you need:
Small mason jar
Young Living Essential oils: Lavender, Purification and Thieves, 10 drops each. You can use any oil you want!
Castile Soap (unscented)
Sugar
Coconut Oil, melted

Add the drops of oil into mason jar

Add one TBS of Castile Soap into the oils and mix together. They will cloud the soap and foam a bit.

Fill the mason jar with sugar to the bottom ring.

Mix together. It will foam up a little and become creamy.

Then add one TBS of melted but not hot Organic Coconut oil.

Mix together with a fork. It will continue to get a creamy texture.

Its important to mix coconut oil in last. Look at the jar on the left, When I added the Coconut Oil in with the EO and soap it didn’t get the creamy texture!

Clean off top and label.

To Use:

Wet hands and face. dip finger into jar to use a bit, rub on face and hands, adding water as needed to work up a lather and not pull to hard on skin. Rinse with warm water. Pat dry.

After using the face scrub, use the facial toner and face lotion! Enjoy!
